
David Mokotoff, M.D.
David was in private practice for cardiology in St. Petersburg, Florida, for thirty-three years. He founded the Bay Area Heart Center in St. Petersburg in 1982, where he was the past president and CEO. He retired in 2015. He was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of South Alabama extension in Mobile, Alabama from 1978 to1982.
After attending the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, he did postgraduate medical training at the University of California at San Diego. Excited by the growing field of cardiology, he did a fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and Methodist Hospital, in Houston, Texas, with renowned heart surgeon Michael DeBakey.
